Day 1: Sorrento

Arrival at Naples Airport .
Transfer to your hotel in Sorrento.
Overnight.

Day 2 Positano – Amalfi – Ravello (B-L)

Today, enjoy a full-day excursion to the Amalfi Coast .

Visit of Positano, the wonderful port of the Amalfi Republic in medieval times that prospered in the 16th and 17th centuries and declined in the following period.
Positano was a relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the 20th century.
It began to attract large numbers of tourists in the 1950s, especially after John Steinbeck published his essay about Positano in Harper’s Bazaar in May, 1953: "Positano bites deep", Steinbeck wrote. "It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." Today, you will admire its beauty and marvellous panorama, taking a stroll around its quaint streets. You will visit the Santa Maria Assunta church, that features a dome made of majolica tiles with the 13th century Byzantine icon of a black Madonna.

11.30 am: Transfer from Positano to Amalfi, the nice village that was once a maritime superpower with a population of more than 70,000 people. It is worth to catch a look in the famous “ La Scuderia del Duca”: it is a workshop which is a few footsteps far from the old Arsenals of the Republic.

Here you can find gold and dry refined prints, special cards with initials, etchings and hand decorated paper each sheet of which is a unique and exclusive pattern.
Amalfi occupied a high position in medieval architecture; its cathedral of Sant'Andrea (St. Andrew, 11th century), the campanile, the convent of the Cappuccini, founded by the Amalfitan Cardinal Pietro Capuano, richly represent the artistic movement prevailing in Southern Italy at the time of the Normans, with its tendency to blend the Byzantine style with the forms and sharp lines of the northern architecture.

01.00 pm: lunch in a typical restaurant of Amalfi.

Where you will taste the best dishes of the Italian and Naples’ tradition, composed by fresh vegetables and fish and wonderful pastries.

02.30 pm: Departure towards Ravello.

Ravello sits like a natural balcony overhanging Amalfi and the nearby town of Minori and Maiori and is a delightful place for a wonder with its spectacular views. In the 9th century Ravello was an important town of the maritime republic of Amalfi, a producer of wool from its surrounding country that was dyed in the town and an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200. In the 12th century it had some 25,000 inhabitants, and retains a disproportionate number of palazzi of the mercantile nobility, In 1996, Ravello was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit its wonderful sights (churches, palacese, wonderful gardens and belvedere) and you will stroll down its city centre.

05.00 pm: return back to your hotel.

Day 3: Pompei + Vesuvio Cellar (B-L)

After breakfast, meeting with our driving guide and departure to Pompeii.

Destroyed after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Retune back to your Hotel in the afternoon.

Day 4: Cooking Class in Sorrento (B-L)

After breakfast in the morning, test your abilities and experience a hands-on cooking class in one of the most famous Italian cooking school.

Pompeii

A stark reminder of the malign forces that lie deep inside Vesuvius, Pompeii (Pompei in Italian) is Europe’s most compelling archaeological site and one of Italy’s most visited tourist attractions. Each year about 2.5 million people pour in to wander the ghostly shell of what was once a thriving commercial centre.
